Print Specification Required by CMYKGrafix

Digital file guidelines

Acceptable files:
Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw

Unacceptable files:
Adobe PageMaker, Adobe Indesign, Powerpoint, Macromedia Freehand, Microsoft Publisher, CAD files, Microsoft Word, Quark Xpress 6.0

Acceptable file types:
Raster file with the extension. .jpg, .tiff, .psd, .gif
Vector preferred
.eps, .ai, .pdf

Note: Vector files in digital printing industry are preferred and are mostly used within the large format printing.

Acceptable but not preferred:
.jpg, .pdf, .gif

Fonts
Please supply your fonts when collecting for output or select your text and create outlines. Outlined fonts in Illustrator or rastered type in photoshop are preferred.

Color Management
Please use the pantone matching system (PMS) whenever possible in order to achieve the best color matching with your file. UNDERSTAND that color is device dependent and the same PMS color will look different depending on what printer and media is used. Please note that we use a 6 color process and some PMS colors are impossible to match.

Print Ready FILES
Must be supplied full scale or proportional to the output. Please don't send art that is smaller than 1:20 scale.

Files are preferred to have PMS numbers in the file. Must have fonts included or outlined.

NON READY FILES (Subject to artwork fee).
Must supply print out to match.
Must supply PMS colors.
Must supply your own fonts.
Must supply your own images or embedded.
Must supply your logo (Vector, .eps or .ai) files.

CMYKGrafix is NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Disk(s) lost or damaged in transit
Color matching when PMS color not embed.
Non Print ready files.
Spelling errors in a file not typeset by us.
Spelling errors in a file the client has signed off on.
Errors in layout the client has signed off on.
Missed deadlines due to the client not giving approval on the artwork
or not available to answer questions.
